Catholic Distance University is offering two new online seminars at the university’s online campus.  These seminars, The Psalms: Israel’s Prayer and Ours, March 7 - 28,and Jesus of Nazareth: Pope Benedict Reflects on Christ’s Passion and Resurrection, March 28 – April 18, provide an inspiring and convenient way for Catholics to focus on their faith during this Lenten season.

The Psalms: Israel’s Prayer and Ours reflect on the dynamic prayer songs of the Church found in sacred Scripture. Dr. Robert Miller, a popular Scripture author and instructor, leads seminar participants on a journey to examine the Book of Psalms as religious poetry and prayer for both Jews and Christians.

Be the first to read the second volume of Pope Benedict’s Jesus of Nazareth in this new seminar from CDU. During this three-week seminar, participants will read the book and address such controversial questions as: “Who was responsible for Jesus’ death? Did Jesus establish the Church to carry on his work? How did Jesus view his suffering and death? And, most importantly, did Jesus really rise from the dead?” Father Bevil Bramwell is the seminar author and instructor.

CDU seminars provide a great formation tool for all Catholics.  The online format allows for a classroom that is available anytime, day or night, to read a lecture, participate in a group discussion, reflect and pray in the online chapel, and ask questions of the instructor. As the online partner with the Diocese of Arlington, catechists and Catholic schoolteachers can experience CDU seminars at a lower tuition.|
