Students who complete this program should
be able to:
Explain and effectively communicate the essential and fundamental content of Catholic Doctrine: profession of Faith, liturgy and sacrament, moral teachings, and the nature of prayer for communion with God and with others.
Use Sacred Scripture for catechesis with a basic understanding of the meaning of revelation, the unity of the two testaments, and the content of the Gospel message.
Apply the foundations of Catholic morality and Catholic Social Teaching to the catechesis of Christian living.
Identify appropriate catechetical principles and methods for faithful catechesis.
Provide a catechesis that reflects the proper relationship of prayer, and doctrinal truths with daily living.
