Meet the Instructor: Stephen Kass, M.A.
Mr. Stephen Kass has an M.A. degree in Systematic Theology from the Immaculate Conception Seminary and School of Theology at Seton Hall University where he was awarded the John Paul II Medal for academic excellence. Prior to this, Mr. Kass achieved a BA in Geology from the University of Rochester, New York, and an MS degree in Nuclear Engineering with a Minor in Materials Science from North Caroline State University. Mr. Kass also served for five years as an officer in the United States Navy and 9 years in the active reserves.
Mr. Kass's catechetical and spirituality responsibilities have included liturgical catechesis for adults seeking initiation into the Catholic Church, Young Adult catechesis, coordination of parish evangelization efforts, Eucharistic catechesis and training for all parish extraordinary ministers, adult faith formation classes that address Catholic Social Teaching and Sacred Scripture, Franciscan Spirituality classes, as well as numerous retreat talks for various groups including the Diocese of Bridgeport Diaconate Convocation in March of 2009.
