Meet CDU faculty

Kristen Towle, PhD

Dr. Kristin Towle has a B.A. in Catholic Studies and Spanish from the University of St. Thomas and a Ph.D. in Theology from Ave Maria University.

Having discovered a love for theology in college, Dr. Towle pursued a master's degree in theology at Boston College. She left the program early to begin the Ph.D. program in theology at Ave Maria University. Dr. Towle graduated with the first class of Ph.D. students from Ave Maria, writing her dissertation on mystical contemplation in the Summa theologiae of St. Thomas Aquinas. Dr. Towle lives with her husband, Michael, and three children in Minnesota, and has been copy-editing for theological journals for several years.
