Brian Pizzalato, Phd candidate
Brian Pizzalato an adjunct professor of theology and seminar presenter at Catholic Distance University. He is also an adjunct professor in philosophy at the Maryvale Institute, Birmingham, England, and an adjunct professor of theology, Scripture, and catechetics at the Augustine Institute, Denver, CO. He has been involved in various aspects of catechesis on the campus, parish, and diocesan levels for over twelve years.
His publications include: Education, the Human Person and Truth and An Unforgivable Sin?: The Blasphemy of the Holy Spirit in Matthew12:31-32,and a monthly column for six years in The Northern Cross of the Diocese of Duluth. Brian is also a contributing author to the Association for Catechumenal Ministrys (ACM) R.C.I.A. Participants Book. For four year Brian authored the regular series, Catechesis in Contemporary Culture, in The Sower, published by the Maryvale Institute. He is also author of the Philosophy of Religion course book for the B.A. in Philosophy and the Catholic Tradition at the Maryvale Institute.
Brian holds a B.A. in Theology and Philosophy, an M.A. in Theology and Christian Ministry with a Catechetics specialization, and an M.A. in Philosophy from Franciscan University of Steubenville, OH. Brian also holds an M.A. in Pastoral Theology with a concentration in Biblical Theology from the Augustine Institute, and he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Maryvale Institute. Brian is married and has six children.
