Daniel S. Mulhall currently serves as the National Catechetical Advisor to RCL Benziger, a publisher of Catholic faith formation materials. He most recently served as the Assistant Secretary for Catechesis and Inculturation for the US Conference of Catholic Bishops in the Department of Education, Office for Catechesis, a position he held for nine years. In that position he served as staff to the Bishops’ Committee on Catechesis, the committee that developed the National Directory for Catechesis for the USCCB.

Mr. Mulhall holds a MA in Theology from the Catholic University of America (Washington, DC) and a MA in Christian Community Develop from Regis University (Denver, CO). Mr. Mulhall has worked in the field of catechesis his entire adult life having served as a pastoral musician, a parish and RCIA catechist, a high school religion teacher, a diocesan consultant for adult faith formation (Covington, KY, Los Angeles, CA) and consultant for the RCIA (Covington), and as an executive editor for a Catholic textbook publisher. He and his wife, Kathleen, have been married for 29 years and they have three young adult children and one grandchild. The family lives in Laurel, MD.
