Michael Hoonhout, PhD
Dr. Michael A. Hoonhout is an associate professor of systematic theology at the Seminary of the Immaculate Conception in Huntington, NY, where he teaches courses in ecclesiology, Trinity, theological anthropology and theology of marriage. He is also the general editor of the seminary's online theological and pastoral journal, Seat of Wisdom. His research and writing has focused on the mysteries of the one God, Trinity, divine providence, and the relation of theology and science. His published articles include:Aquinas' Theology of the God Who Is,Grounding Providence in the Theology of the Creator, and Thomas Aquinas and the Need for a Contemporary Theological Cosmology. He also contributed the main articles on God for the latest edition of The New Catholic Encyclopedia (2003). He lives in Smithtown, NY with his wife Glee and their three sons.
