Professor Hood’s language experience is broad with skills in reading and writing Latin and German, as well as, reading French, Biblical Hebrew, Syriac, and most of the Coptic dialects. Working with a team at CUA, Hood is translating a Syriac poem on the Egyptian Fathers of the Church. He is also versed in translating works in Greek and Latin. He resides in Virginia with his wife and young son.
