Dr. Hain is Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Providence College and has taught previously at the University of Notre Dame, the Catholic University of America, and Xavier University. He received his B.A. from Christendom College, and his M.A. and Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. Specializing in ethics, he has taught courses in the history of ethics, Thomistic ethics, and medical ethics, among others, and has received numerous honors and awards, including a Weaver Fellowship for post-gradudate work at Oxford University.

Dr. Hain's research focuses primarily on connections between Thomistic ethics and contemporary ethical questions. He has participated in numerous conference presentations and invited lectures, and his work can be found in, for example, Nova et Vetera, the online journal Public Discourse, and (forthcoming) Christian Bioethics.
