Master of arts in Theology Ecclesial service concentration
This concentration is designed for people who currently work for or intend to work for the Catholic Church in a professional or volunteer capacity. Deacons, catechetical leaders, Catholic school principals and teachers, music and liturgy directors, pastoral associates, and those involved in social outreach programs will find this a rich and beneficial program in both theoretical and practical terms. Students who choose this concentration will work closely with a faculty advisor to make sure their studies correspond to their personal and professional goals.
Students interested in the Ecclesial Service concentration will take 15 credit hours in their concentration area and 5 elective credits in any graduate level course and/or seminar course. View a complete list of all graduate courses offered at CDU.
Before selecting a concentration, students will need to get approval from a faculty advisor. Usually, they should have completed more than half of the core curriculum before declaring a concentration. This selection process should begin with an email to Carol Ciullo at cciullo@cdu.edu who will monitor the process and counsel students throughout the program. Towards the end of their program, students should contact the graduate registrar at gradregistrar@cdu.edu to arrange for approval of a thesis proposal and supervision of the written thesis by a faculty advisor.
