The catechetical diploma
For program students before July 1, 2009

Students admitted to The Catholic Distance University's  Catechetical Diploma program complete a core curriculum (30 credits), 3 credits in Scripture related courses and/or seminars, and 3 credits in elective courses and/or seminars.In addition
to coursework, students will also complete the following:

  • Catechetical project, such as an essay, paper or lesson plan
  • A comprehensive examination when all courses and project are completed
  • Minimum 2.0 grade point average
  • Completion of all requirements within 5 years from the date of acceptance
    into the program
