The catechetical diploma
core curriculum

Students admitted to The Catholic Distance University's  Catechetical Diploma program complete a core curriculum (33 credits) and 3 credits in elective courses and/or seminars.In addition to coursework, students will also complete the following:

  • Catechetical project, such as an essay, research paper or lesson plan
  • A comprehensive examination when all courses and project are completed
  • Minimum 2.0 grade point average
  • Completion of all requirements within 5 years from the date of acceptance
    into the program
