Program Objectives

To provide a high quality entry level collegiate Associates degree with an emphasis on the Catholic intellectual tradition in the liberal arts.
To provide an associates degree that reflects a fully integrated curriculum in both the general education courses and the core and elective courses that emphasizes the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church as articulated in the documents of the Second Vatican Council.
To provide a high quality associates degree program delivered in a fully online format as the most accessible delivery to the largest possible, global audience.
To provide an easily accessible lower baccalaureate degree program for the professional development of catechists, parents, aspiring Catholic school teachers, professional career-seekers in the Catholic Church, and as a strong foundation for anyone seeking more advanced degrees in the liberal arts.
To provide a program that emphasizes fundamental reading and writing skills as a foundation for higher level academic work in the liberal arts.
To prepare and encourage a larger pool of candidates for CDU's Bachelor's degree in Theology.
